-10am parade start - all three bands will march and play in the Grande Parade -
-1pm - they will gather in the Merit Home Furnishings parking lot
-20 minute showcases of each band ending with one large collection of pipes and drums like you may never have seen
Delta Police Pipe Band The Band consists of 30 pipers and 20 drummers and is currently under the direction of Pipe Major Corey Tillyer and Drum Major Moe Coll. The Delta Police Pipe Band is world renowned for their crowd pleasing musical presentations and are ambassadors for the Delta Police Department and the Municipality of Delta. They have performed at numerous National and International events (recently shared the stage with Sir Paul McCartney and joined him to perform Mull of Kintyre in front of 50,000 fans at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, BC.)
Cowichan Pipes and Drums / The Cowichan Pipes and Drums are led by pipe major Gordon Pollock and are sponsored by the Cowichan Pipers & Drummers Society. The band is a fun, social pipe and drum band that promotes celtic arts through promotion of and participation in community events. On Thursday nights at the Duncan Seniors Center in downtown Duncan, band members meet and offer lessons to new learners 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and then have a full practice from 8:00 pm until about 9:30 pm.
Mount Arrowsmith Pipe Band was formed with a commitment to the preservation, promotion and education of Gaelic culture through musical performance. The band adopted its name in recognition of the special support provided by the Parksville Royal Canadian Legion, Mount Arrowsmith Branch 49.
