Noon Mbira Spirit - becoming a tradition to have them start Canada Day for the community with an uplifting approach to country styled danceable music
1pm Kelly Roxanne Girvan school teacher by day and night, she also enjoys her own musical journey and continues to pen some fine songs for us to hear
2pm Cara McCandless – calling the Cowichan Valley home, she is an awesome songwriter and a very powerful singer
3pm Tropic Mayhem – serving up some good old classic rock’n’roll with a beachy feeling, always in demand for private functions, they make sure all in attendance have a good time
4pm Terry Wicks and friends a singer/songwriter/producer/recording engineer he has a penchant for the blues as he will show us tonite with some originals and a few covers joined by some musical friends
4:20pm Canada Day Cake - cutting and sharing– sponsored by Canadian Super Store
5pm Nicholas Campbell with Rob Foreman -from Peterbourough Ont. area, roots country duo with a rockabilly feel – the real deal (also part of the HiLo Players)
6pm Jsa Jsa and the Cariboo Kid Jsa Jsa (Jeanne Tolmie) and the Cariboo Kid (Daniel Lapp) sing old country and folk songs mostly from British Columbia. There is some yodelling, polkas, swing and honky tonk and always some fiddling to round out the show.
7pm Pat Temple and the HiLo Players tonite as a 4 piece, Pat brings on his take of hillbilly jazz to the festival that is liable to get your toes a tappin and maybe even a bit of dancin’ time on your part once again?
Then we move to the City Square Stage
8:15pm Ryan McMahon Trio ‘he has carved out an almost 20-year career as an independent artist in Canada’s vibrant music scene, a genre fence sitter, hanging out on the edges of country just enough to say he isn’t, Ryan is both a whisper and a scream’
